About
Connor Burke is a Bay Area Illustrator who is fascinated with biology and art. He can often be found turning over rocks at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve tide pools and sketching along the coastal bluffs. That fascination with science and nature led him to study Biological Sciences at UC Santa Barbara. In lectures, he was no doubt paying close attention, while constantly doodling. It was there he first heard of Scientific Illustration and saw a path to marry the two. He is studying editorial Illustration at the Academy of Art University SF and merging his love of both science and art to create informative scientific and editorial Illustrations.
Connor’s art also extends to large heavily textured paintings in which he paints portraits over mountainous paint daubs.Often exploring new mediums, he is expanding his arsenal to 3D Modeling, Screen Printing, Video Editing, and Animation. Currently, Connor is working on concept illustrations for an immersive theater experience and continuing to create merchandise for the band Slenderbodies.
